
Sports in Southport, stay fit and have fun
At Southport College there are a wide range of sports and physical enrichment activities on offer for students and staff to take part in.
Our sports enrichment team can organise sessions in glow badminton, 5-a-side football, short tennis, dodgeball, basketball, table tennis, yoga, running, walking, benchball and multi-sports, as well as competitions in short tennis, rounders, table tennis and football.
They can also arrange teams for 11-a-side football, volleyball, rugby union and basketball, able to compete with other colleges and same-level teams.
So whether you already play sport competitively and want to join one of our teams; you fancy trying something new; or you just want to join in and make new friends whilst you have fun and stay fit; our friendly, experienced and professional enrichment team are here to help you.
There is also the fully equipped College gym, which is free to all students and is open throughout the week.

Sports Hall
Our Sports Hall is used for a wide range of sports and activities including football, netball, basketball, badminton, volleyball, circuits and more.

Weights Gym
Our Fitness Suite is packed with free weights, multi-gyms, strength and resistance machinery for Southport College student to use free of charge.

Cardio Studio
Our Cardio Studio is used for aerobic fitness, with cross-trainers, exercise bikes and treadmills, where students can develop their own cardiovascular fitness.
