Our Enrichment Hub sits at the centre of all our extra-curricular activities. It's packed with all sorts of activities for you to take a break, relax and chill, learn a new skill, whilst meeting people from the many different courses across college.

Spark Radio Studio

Spark Radio Studio

Spark Radio is our very own DAB & Online Radio station, broadcast right from the studio in our Enrichment Hub. This soundproofed room is kitted out with all the equipment needed to run a fully functioning radio station. Students record and broadcast their very own shows with expert help from radio host, Andy Hilbert!

There's nothing better on a warm and bright day than a refreshing break in the sun. We've plenty going on with our outdoor table tennis, chess, picnic benches and relaxing Peace Garden for you to take some time for yourself.

Students are able to benefit from a wide range of course related trips and visits which are arranged to enhance theoretical and classroom learning with direct experience.

Competitions

Southport College students have the opportunity to get involved in many internal and external competitions such as the cross-colleges Skillsclash and the themed Hair & Beauty competition.

Throughout the academic year students studying a wide range of subjects benefit from live projects and guest speakers as well as careers and Apprenticeship events all designed to prepare them for the world of work.

Represent the College

There are many ways to represent the College such as joining the College council, becoming a Student Governor, representing your classmates as Student Rep or promoting the College at an open evening as part of the Student Events Team.

Sports @ Southport College

At Southport College there are a wide range of sport and physical activities on offer for students to take part in, including weekly sessions in lots of different sports, playing for the College teams or having a workout at the free to use College gym.

LGBT+

Join our LGBT+ society and work with Southport College in showing your commitment to supporting our LGBT+ community. You could also represent the College as a LGBT+ Student Ambassador.
