Pick a recipe from your favourite chef, this can be savoury or sweet it’s really up to you, but it should be something that inspired you to want to become a chef.

So it’s time to show off your skills and creativity! Make the dish of your choice. For example I really enjoy making bread, with my preferred baker being Paul Hollywood. His sourdough recipe is the only one I haven’t had a go at yet.

As evidence is an important part of the course you will need to take several photos of your dish (during the making and the finished product)

Bring the photos of your dish in when you attend your first day of college, as you will be making your chosen dish again but this time with a healthier twist!

We will be going on trips within the first few weeks of the course, including

• Ten pin bowling,
• Crazy golf and
• Laser zone.

This is a good time to build up friendships while promoting teambuilding which is one of the important keys to working within the industry.
