For this piece I wanted to create a “visual representation of emotion”, and so chose to show how I view the people, pets, and stuffed animals in my life, due to having synesthesia. Each A5 piece has a different combination of two colours that I felt reflected each person's characteristics the best (the colours I envision when thinking of them). I created this piece using acrylic paint because I feel most confident in working with this medium. I chose to create a series of images rather than a single large piece to show a difference in each of their individual characters, as well as to be able to move the painting around to create a variety of compositions.
