Studying Counselling at Southport College was a great decision for me. I have improved my communication skills and now understand myself better. Whilst it has been a personal healing journey, I am also proud to be able to share the knowledge and practice I’ve learned with others.
The accessibility of the college has been excellent and I have great respect for the teaching staff. If I could do it all again, I most certainly would!

I’d had various jobs before but they never felt secure. I wanted to have a career but I also wanted to give something back so returning to education felt like the next logical step. My tutor was incredible and inspirational; I wouldn’t have completed the training without her. Completing the courses at Southport College has given me the career I wanted and a positive path to follow. I’m currently studying at Salford University doing a degree in Counselling Psychology and I plan on expanding my private practice by continuing to study and learn different therapies.
