Our brand new FREE “Career Explorer” courses let you find your perfect new career.
Our brand new free courses enable you to try a range of new subjects and explore potential new careers, whilst brushing up your job seeking skills – with top hints and tips from our recruitment experts.
The courses run two days a week for five weeks and are designed to fit in with school hours. Both run on a Wednesday and Friday 10.00am - 2.30pm from April 14th for 5 weeks.
There are two pathways to choose from.
Explore a new Career in Admin, Education or the Service Industry
This course gives you a flavour of what it might be like to work in a range of vocations, allowing you to decide if you’d like to train further in one area.
The course includes:
- Accountancy
- Education, Teaching & Training
- Hospitality, Catering and the Tourist Economy
- The Care Sector
- Running your own Business
Explore a new career in the Professional Trades
This course gives you a flavour of what it might be like to work in the professional trades and allows you to decide if you’d like to train further in one area.
The course includes:
- Painting & Decorating
- Bricklaying
- Motor Vehicle Maintenance
- Computing & IT
- Running your own Business
Career Advice & Guidance
As an adult learner you’ll have access to the careers and university resources and you can also access course and careers advice and guidance through our Student Information Centre. You tutor will also discuss careers options and applications with you.
